WhatsApp (Version: 2.17.95) Bring Back Old Text Base Feature.

WhatsApp bring new stories like status feature last month which allows user to post images and video which automatically disappear within 24 hours. Well doing so WhatsApp remove text based Status feature from setting console and this decision didn't go well for many users for this reason WhatsApp is working to bring back it's old Text based Status feature soon.
The beta version: 2.17.95 bring back the old status feature in the app. The new status feature is called "About" not Status.
The process of setting text based Status is still same.
